NASA ends tv broadcast via Hotbird satellite

A few years ago, viewers who were enthusiastic about space travel were thrilled.

NASA also made the broadcast of the TV program intended for the general public available in Europe.
The program could be received in Europe, North Africa and West Asia via Eutelsat "Hotbird".

A second channel in UHD format followed a little later. Although there were hardly any informative contributions, there were images of solar flares or star clusters in distant galaxies in brilliant high resolution.

Eurosport sendet zeitweise unverschlüsselt

Der in Frankreich stationierte Sender "Eurosport" versorgt über verschiedene Satelliten und im Kabel die Zuschauer in vielen Ländern mit Sportnachrichten und Übertragungen von Veranstaltungen.
Im Vorfeld der Olympischen Spiele wird im Juli dabei auch dem Publikum, das kein gesondertes  Discovery+ Sportpaket gebucht hat, die Sportübertragung in HD zur Verfügung gestellt.
[Update:] Die Ausstrahlung wurde im August 2024 wieder verschlüsselt.
Voraussichtlich wird dieser Bonus auch während der Olympischen Spiele in Paris erhalten bleiben.

Während über Astra 19,2° Ost die Sendungen von Eurosport Deutschland SD permanent ausgestrahlt werden, läuft auf Hotbird 13° Ost hauptsächlich die Verbreitung der internationalen Sprachversionen.
